If your cotton seed is with fluff (usually it is 12%), then first we need to use cotton seed stripping equipment to remove the fluff and make its content lower than 3%, because it will absorb the oil away.

The second step is cleaning, we usually use air separator to remove impurities like dirt, stones etc, besised, we need to use cyclone dust collector to remove the light impurities in cotton seeds.

The third step is husking, we need to use cotton seed husker machine to crack cotton seed to get the mixture of cotton seeds and shell.(Since the shell will also reduce final oil yield rate. )

The fourth step is separating. After husking, we use kernel and shell separator to remove shell. The final separation result is that the kernel in shell rate around 0.5% and shell in kernel rate around 10%.

Next step is flaking. For input capacity above 50TPD, you may need to add one flaking machine to make large cotton seeds into small flakiness, so that it will be easier to get oil out.

After flaking process, we need to use cooker to adjust the moisture and temperature of the flakiness, making it into the best state before pressing.

Finally, we need to use cotton seed oil press machine or cotton seed oil pre-press machine to extract cotton seed oil out. In cotton seed oil pressing station, customers usually are often faced with two choices, one is using presser to press oil directly, this method can ensure the residual oil in the cake is less than 8%. Another is using cotton seed oil pre-presser to get part oil first, then send pressed cotton seed cake to solvent extraction plant to extract more cotton seed oil out. Usually, the cotton seed cake solvent extraction plant can ensure the residual oil in the cake is less than 1%.
